A Quick Heads-Up on Pallet Deliveries 🌱

Hey there, Paul from Garden Soils here! We're thrilled you're choosing our peat-free Soil Conditioning Compost to give your garden that magical boost—our compost is excited to help your plants thrive!

Since our 50L bags are shipped in bulk on full pallets only (minimum order 30 bags = 1 full pallet: 1.2m x 1.2m x 2.4m high, max weight 1,250kg), deliveries are made with large lorries (think dustcart or bin lorry size, with a tail-lift for safe unloading). To ensure everything goes smoothly, here's a quick checklist:

• Access for the lorry: Ensure there's space for a big vehicle to reach your delivery spot—no narrow lanes, low branches, sharp turns, or steep inclines that could cause issues.
• A firm, level surface: The driver needs hard standing like concrete, tarmac, or a solid driveway to park and unload. Avoid soft grass, gravel, or mud to prevent getting stuck.
• Someone home?: It's ideal if you're around during the delivery window, but kerbside or left-safe drops are possible if arranged in advance.
• Remote or restricted areas?: For Scottish Highlands, islands, Northern Ireland, or similar (e.g., postcodes starting with IV4+, IV41-56, KW*, PA20+, HS*, ZE*, IM*, JE*, GY*, KA27-28, AB30-56, BT22/24-26/30-35/43+, most Dublin/Ireland codes like A41/42/45/94/96, D01-24/D6W/K32/34/36/45/56/67/78), shipping may be unavailable, 72-hour only, or incur extra fees/delays. Our checkout postcode checker will flag this automatically, or drop us a message if unsure!

Shipping is calculated automatically at checkout based on your postcode. All goods are carried under current RHA conditions of carriage, with warehousing under RHA conditions of storage—copies available on request.

99% of deliveries go perfectly, but if access issues arise on the day, the carrier may need to return the pallet, adding costs we'd have to pass on (we'll always notify you first).
